Toolbox Meeting - Trip Hazards

Slips, trips and falls are a common cause of injury in the workplace.

  • When walking on site, always make sure you are paying attention.
  • Keep an eye out for ground clutter, uneven or slippery floors, and poor lighting.
  • When possible, ensure you are using the designated walkways which are marked on site to mitigate any risk.
  • If there is a slip hazard, report this to the site manager immediately.
  • Avoid puddled areas.
  • Ensure your work boots have adequate lugs on their soles, and that the sole is not worn down.
  • Clean up your working area as you go, placing any rubbish in the rubbish bins.
  • Do not run on site.
